Lease & Occupancy FAQ: Terms, Renewals, Guests, and Policies
Find key answers about your lease duration, renewal options, early termination, guest limits, and adding occupants.
Welcome to the Lease & Occupancy guide. Below are the answers to the most common questions regarding your lease agreement and residency rules.
1. How long is my lease term?
Lease terms vary depending on your agreement. Please check your signed lease contract in your resident portal or contact the leasing office directly to confirm your specific start and end dates.
2. Can I renew my lease?
Yes. Renewal offers are typically sent via email 60 to 90 days before your current lease term expires. You will receive instructions on how to accept or review your new terms at that time.
3. What happens if I break my lease early?
If you need to move out before your lease ends, you may be responsible for early termination fees or remaining rent payments as outlined in your lease contract. Contact management as soon as possible to discuss your options.
4. Can I add someone to my lease?
Yes, but all new prospective residents must submit an official application and complete our background check process for approval before moving into the property.
5. Can I rent out or sublease my home?
Subleasing or listing your unit on short-term rental platforms (such as Airbnb) is restricted or prohibited under most agreements. Please review your signed lease or check with community management before subletting.
6. Can guests stay overnight?
Yes, guests are welcome to stay overnight. However, extended stays (usually exceeding consecutive days specified in your contract) may require formal management approval or background screening.
